‘My grandfather started the business about 60 years ago. When he passed away in his thirties, my grandmother ran it and then it was sold in the mid 1980s. My dad bought it back in the early 1990s and that’s when I came on board.’ – Trent Holding, Director AG Holding & Co.
Since joining the family business, Trent has established a reputation for quality and reliability. Utilising cutting edge manufacturing technologies to produce consistently high quality precision design and fabrication for a variety of industries, AG Holding & Co specialise in laser cutting, welding and fabrication, metal pressing as well as folding and forming.
The former 1,450sqm headquarters in Braeside includes a 150sqm office, which didn’t leave much room for expansion. Dedicated to delivering the best possible service to their clients, Trent identified the need to move to a bigger facility to support the expansion of the business. The move would enable them to continue to meet low, medium and high volume production requirements.
‘We’d been thinking about a move for the past three or four years. We wanted to expand our offering to include powder coating and also introduce a new laser cutting machine. There just wasn’t enough room in our current warehouse,’ says Trent.

‘When Murray presented me with the idea of a purpose built facility I was on board straight away. Initially we dealt directly with Adam Campbell, director at Campbell Constructions, who is also the landlord. Once the plans and permits were approved, I began dealing with Aaron Davies, the site manager, who has been extremely professional and outstanding in his services,’ says Trent.
Trent explains the certificate of occupancy went through a few weeks ago and they are now in the throes of moving the business to their new home in Carrum Downs.
